Preparing to make candy to be sent to servicemen are members of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars are, seated from left to right, Mrs. Addie Radakovich, Mrs. David Visser, and Mrs. Ivan Waters, and standing from left to right, Mrs. Mae Gardoski, Mrs. John Price, and Mrs. Harold Billings. "Operation Gift Package" is the current project undertaken by the auxiliary in observance of Loyalty Day on the first of May. Packages will be sent to servicemen serving at home and overseas. The candy, made at the home of Mrs. Price, is just one of the items that will be included in the packages. Bags of sugar and bottles of corn syrup are on the table. A kitchen counter and some cabinets are behind them. A window with some colorful drapes is cover the counter. A framed picture hangs on the side wall.
